Rebuilding Homes for Families in Need

From July 11–17, 2026, our team is traveling to El Salvador to come alongside Pastor George and the area's churches — this year with a hands-on focus: repairing the homes of in-need families connected to those congregations.

The community is poor, and these homes fall far below the standards most of us know. Walls are made of corrugated metal — and in some cases, plastic tarps. Roofs leak. Structures need reinforcement to stay standing through the rainy season. Yet the families are proud of what they have, and they are deeply loved by their local pastors.

Our goal is simple: make needed repairs that keep families safe and dry, and in doing so, show them tangibly that they are loved — by the church and by Jesus. The candidate homes below were identified by Pastor George across three of the area's churches; he recorded a short walkthrough of each so we could see the conditions and plan the work.

Three Candidate Homes

Pastor George, our partner in El Salvador, identified some of the most in-need homes across three of the area's churches we will be visiting and recorded these walkthroughs for us. In each short video he walks through the home and describes the condition and the repairs it needs. These are the top candidates — the final list will be confirmed with the local pastors and could change based on current needs.

House 1 The outer shell is badly rusted and rain seeps in during storms. The main frame is still sound — the work is mostly new roofing sheets and replacing the worst sections. It sits near Pastor Mike's church, where past teams added the front porch.
House 2 The home of a member of Pastor Alfredo's church — dirt floor and plastic sheeting for walls, with water coming in during storms. The need is solid walls and new roofing sheets.
House 3 · Most Urgent Home to members of Pastor Herbert's church and the largest of the three. Pastor George determined this house by far is the most in-need home in the neighborhood — it needs roofing sheets and the most structural work.

Cover This Trip in Prayer

Giving funds the work, but prayer carries it. Please pray for safe travel for our team; for the three families and their homes; for Pastor George, Pastor Alfredo, and Pastor Herbert and their congregations; and that every repair would point to the love of Jesus. Lift up the work from July 11–17, 2026 — and the families long after we've come home.
